Kim Hulett CA(SA) is the founder and CEO of Next Biosciences, an African biotech company that combines medicine, science and technology to empower people to invest in their future health. Over the past 18 years as Next Biosciences CEO, Kim has pioneered the stem cell storage and reproductive genetic testing space in South Africa—including establishing the largest cryogenic bank in Africa. Kim is equally passionate about investing in media ventures that deliver positive impact. As the Investor Director for WildEarth Group, Kim is well-placed to drive synergistic strategies between WildEarth, commercial partners, and conservation projects.
Additionally, as a board member of the National Heritage Project and Wonderbag Foundation as well as a longtime financial adviser for the Tambo Family Trust, Kim acutely understands the nuances of the South African NGO ecosystem. Kim brings this experience with her as a board member of the WildEarth Impact Foundation, focusing on impact investing, financial advisory, tax advisory, and strategic management.
Sanath Jaishankar
Chief Executive Officer
Sanath Jaishankar currently serves as Chief Executive Officer of the WildEarth Impact Foundation. Prior to this role, Sanath has built his career as a seasoned executive leader and impact strategist for a multinational consultancy. He has a proven track record in leading high-impact projects for governments, Fortune 500 companies, and leading nonprofits across the EMEA region. Prior to joining WildEarth, Sanath advised leaders and decision-makers to identify strategic opportunities, develop comprehensive impact frameworks, and leverage sustainability as a driver of value.
As CEO of WEIF, Sanath provides the overarching strategic direction for WildEarth’s conservation and social impact goals. He oversees WEIF’s flagship projects and drives the organisation’s mission to advance global conservation efforts through impact storytelling. He holds an MSc in Applied Development Economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science, an LLB in Law from the University of Edinburgh, and a BA in Politics, Rights, and Development from New York University. He is also a qualified and registered Nature Guide (NQF2) in Limpopo and Mpumalanga.
