The Issue: humans are driving biodiversity loss. While there is growing consensus that our youth will have a crucial role to play in conservation, children are being inadequately taught about biodiversity loss and nature conservation. For example, across the globe, more than 45% of national curriculum frameworks make no reference to climate change.
The Opportunity: WEIF seeks to inspire and expand the participation of global audiences, with a focus on children, in nature conservation by providing an education platform that engages viewers on critical topics of biodiversity loss and nature conservation.
Key Projects / Initiatives:
- WildEarth Education (WildED) : as one of WEIF’s flagship programs, this unique and free education experience brings the African wild into the classroom, offering a transformative dimension to wildlife education.
- Legacy Donations: a purpose-built legacy package that enables those with a lifelong passion for nature to connect with younger generations on the topic of nature conservation.
